Over the last few years we have continued to offer the industry the latest knowledge in the field of traffic calming and local area traffic management.
Peter Damen, our Managing Director, is the foremost expert in this field in Australasia and has been involved in writing several editions of the national guidelines and delivering dozens of training workshops for government and industry. Earlier this month Peter delivered an LATM Masterclass in Perth, Western Australia to a group of experienced practitioners. Some of the delegates that that were in attendance are shown in the photo below. We had excellent representation from both local government and Main Roads with lots of interaction and many good insights shared. It was also great to hear how the State Government, via Main Roads, is investing in this space moving forward (thanks to Jerko Ostoic for providing a quick overview). Thanks go to all that attended. We were very pleased to deliver a webinar hosted by Austroads on a project that Level5design recently completed titled 'Best-Practice Approaches to Road Freight and Communities'. A major focus of the project was to develop guidelines for best-practice strategies and supporting materials for national, state/territory and local road managers to communicate the importance of freight to the community.
The project broke exciting new ground and in the webinar the Level5design team including Drew Gaynor, Christina Chin, Anthony Fisk and Jack Doyle presented the key findings. The webinar was held on Thursday, 26 November and the recording of the event can be found here |
