Pavements, Assets, Innovative Materials, Circular Economy and Sustainability
The development of optimal infrastructure asset, program and business management strategies can lead to more effective outcomes. Level5Design works with its customers to improve the delivery of their projects and programs, and to identify ways to reduce the whole of life costs of their investments and business operations while increasing the revenue returns from underperforming assets. We do this by:

Some of our recent presentations on the 'Circular Economy', innovative recycled / recovered materials, pavement technology and sustainability provide more information on our capabilities in these service areas.
L5D have extensive materials engineering experience including the development of technical specifications, guidelines and standards. Recent work includes the development of technical specifications for state government on:
- roads, busways and paths
- landscape architecture for train stations and buildings
- design of drainage
- earthworks and general fill
- slope stability, geotextiles and erosion protection
- design of reinforced concrete, concrete durability and sprayed concrete

Recently we have also been working to support the Sustainability Waste Alliance (SWA) through the SWA Innovation Hub, and the Green Deal Alliance, to drive better 'Towards100' outcomes in our major transport infrastructure projects including using much greater volumes of reused and recovered materials. Examples of several reports that have been produced under the banner of the SWA Innovation Hub and circulated by the SWA include:
