Updated concrete specifications have recently been published!

Over the past 2 years Level5Design (L5D) has been working closely with the Public Transport Authority (PTA) on updates to a raft of different rail sector construction specifications. L5D has put considerable effort into the review and major update of three construction specifications relating to the use of concrete materials on rail projects across Western Australia, as follows:

• PTA Specification 8880-450-020: Design of Concrete
• PTA Specification 8880-450-021: Concrete Durability
• PTA Specification 8880-450-028: Sprayed Concrete

We are pleased to announce that these three specifications have now been published on the PTA Vendor Panel and are available for use. 

A major focus of the updates has been on improving sustainability outcomes in infrastructure projects, and in encouraging the use of low carbon and recovered materials in fit for purpose applications.

We hope to see a significant change in more sustainable material use across the transport portfolio and industry as these specifications as rolled out over the coming years.
